THOMAS FAX: 340.777.9587 HTTP://DPP.VI.GOV AMENDMENT ONE (1) May 24, 2016 TO: SUBJECT: RFP-009-2016 (P) Tsunami Computer Modeling, U.S. Virgin Islands. INSERT: Questions & Answers 1. We noticed that this RFP was recently solicited in the months of March and April 2016 as RFP-006- 2016 (P). This RFP (RFP-O09-2016) appears to be identical in scope to RFP-006-2016. Please confirm our assessment and, if possible, describe the reasoning behind the re-solicitation Has a list of tsunami sources requiring modeling been identified? If yes, please provide the list. If yes can modeling be limited to just these sources The RFP states up to 15 different coastal/harbor locations should be modeled with the level of detail specified in the RFP. While each location has key drivers influencing modeling results, factors not listed in the RFP may take precedence when it comes to cost. To ensure that our project approach is clearly responsive to the both technical scope and cost, is there a general expectation for the cost of this project? Should cost be an issue, can you provide a rank order of the detailed locations to be modeled? 4. Itis not clear to us that a business license would be required if the technical work was done in the continental U.S. (computer modeling performed from Pennsylvania, and final results delivered to U.S. Virgin Islands). Is a business license required if we follow this approach? All other terms and conditions remain the same. A copy of this amendment must be returned with your bid.
