DPNR ANNOUNCES RENOVATIONS AT GALLOWS BAY DOCK 
 
Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources 
announces the closure of the Gallows Bay Boating Access Dock, as it undergoes much needed 
renovations.  Repairs to the dock are expected to commence on Monday, July 24, 2023, and 
are scheduled to be completed within 45 days of the work. 
 
The boating community is asked to refrain from using the facility and to plan to use other 
access points during this time. Residents are encouraged to utilize the Altoona Lagoon pier 
until further notice.   For the safety of the boating community, access to the facility will be 
restricted from all users until completion of the repairs.
