Attempted Murder Leads CIB To Arrest 17-year-old Male  
St. Croix, USVI - On November 18, 2022, members of the Criminal Investigation 
Bureau executed an arrest warrant on Mr. Kaden Christian Durand. Mr. Durand 
was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant that was signed by Superior Court Judge 
Ernest E. Morris Jr., on November 16, 2022.This arrest is in reference to an 
attempted murder where the victim was shot and robbed at gun point on April 19, 
2022, in the vicinity of Kmart Sunny Isles. Mr. Durand was bounded over from the 
juvenile system as an adult by the Superior court. He was charged as an adult, 
booked and unable to post bail, he was transported to the John A. Bell Adult 
Correctional Facility where he was remanded pending his Advice of Rights 
Hearing on Monday November 21, 2022 at the Superior Court. Durand was 
charged with Assault 1st, Assault 3rd, Robbery 1st, Unauthorized Possession of a 
Firearm during a Crime of Violence and Grand Larceny.
