RESOLUTION OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE

BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS



WHEREAS the Reichhold Center for the Arts was conceived

as a Center for the development, display and performance of

a variety of creative and cultural activities for the



benefit of the University and the community of the Virgin

Islands; and



WHEREAS Mr. Henry H. Reichhold has donated funds for



the further development of the Center by the addition of a F

Center for Caribbean Arts; and ‘



WHEREAS this Center for Caribbean Arts as conceived is

consistent with the University's plans and objectives; and



WHEREAS Mr. Reichhold and the University are desirous

of employing the services of deJongh Associates, Architects,



Engineers and Planners, to design and coordinate the

development of this project;



NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved this ’s“day of- “« )

1987, that the President and Vice President for Sabdndon and

Financial Affairs of the University of the Virgin Islands

are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement with

deJongh Associates for the development of plans and speci-

fications, and for other professional services necessary for

the realization of this project, on such terms and

conditions as the President and Vice President for Business

and Financial Affairs,in the exercise of their discretion,



deem necessary and appropriate, and in the best interests of

the University.
