Re: Nomination of Mr. Xavier A. Acevedo— Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with the provisions of Title 30, Chapter 5 § 103 of the Virgin Islands Code, I hereby
nominate Mr. Xavier A. Acevedo. As a retired WAPA employee, he has firsthand knowledge ofthe Authority’s
operations, challenges, and opportunities. Additionally, he brings 25 years of experience in government utility
operations, oversight, and private drafting and engineering consultation. He is committed to ensuring
sustainable development, financial oversight, and community engagement to enhance utility services and
infrastructure.
Accordingly, it is my pleasure to ask for the advice and consent of the Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the
Virgin Islands on the nomination of Mr. Acevedo. His resume and questionnaire are enclosed for your review.
I respectfully urge the Legislature to take timely action to advance this nomination to prevent any delays in the
