“Government’) and UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS, No. 2 John Brewers Bay, St.
Thomas. U.S. Virgin Islands. an instrumentality of the Government of the United States Virgin
Islands (hereinafter referred to as “the I. Iniversity”) on behalf of the Eastern Caribbean Center.
The Government and the University hereinafter referred to as the “Parties”
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS. the Parties entered into Memorandum of Agreement No. GO48DOET2O
(which constitute and are hereinafter referred to as the “Agreement”) hich was approved by the
Commissioner of Property and Procurement, to develop procedures for carrying out a survey
entitled “Special Education Parent .S’atis/:ction 5jp..ij 2018” that will provide reliable estimates
of the degree of parents’ satisfaction with the Special Education Program and the services provided
by Virgin Islands Department of Education: and
WHEREAS, the Agreement is due to terminate on November 30. 2020: and
WHEREAS, the Parties desire to amend the Agreement to extend its term by eight (8)
months to change the completion dates in Roles and Responsihililies as described in Addendum I
(Scope of’ Services): and
WHEREAS, the amendment of the Agreement pursuant to this Amendment No.
I of
Memorandum olAgreement shall not require an increase to the compensation originally provided
for under the Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE. for mutual and valuable consideration. the receipt and sufficiency
of which is hereby acknowledged. the parties hereto agree as follows:

The Agreement is hereby amended and its term extended by eight (8) months by deleting all
existing language contained in Paragraph 2 and replacing it with language as follows:

Procurement
and shall terminate on July 31. 2021. The Government in its sole discretion shall have
the option to renew the Agreement for a period of one (I) year subject to same terms
noted herein, by providing the University with sixty (60) days written notice of the
Government election to renew.
2.
Addendum I of the Agreement is revised by deleting all terms contained therein and inserting
in lieu thereof all of the terms contained in Amended Addendum I attached hereto as Exhibit
“A”.
3.
A facsimile, electronic or digital signature on this Contract shall be deemed an original and
binding upon the Parties hereto.
4. This Amendment is subject to the approval ofthe Commissioner of the Department of Property
and Procurement and to the appropriation and availability of funds.
5. Except as expressly amended in this Amendment, all terms of the MOA and remain in full
tbrce and effect.
