VI-EPSCoR 2006-07 Seminar Series 
 
Due to the Explorer of the Seas visiting scientists, VI-EPSCoR will continue its seminar 
series through the summer months in order to continue to provide a venue for researchers 
to share their work with the community. The Explorer of the Seas cruise ship is equipped 
with a high-tech atmospheric and an oceanographic laboratory and is helping scientists to 
discover answers to some of the most challenging questions in ocean and climate 
research. The ship exemplifies an “unprecedented collaboration to use state-of-the-art 
technology to study the ocean and atmosphere and to provide an exciting new venue to 
increase the public's awareness and understanding of our planet”. Royal Caribbean 
International and the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and 
Atmospheric Science are the partners behind this exciting endeavor.
