RE: Administration of Resident Individual Insurance Producer or Adjuster



Examination in the Territory



The Division of Banking, Insurance, and Financial Regulation hereby informs the public that

it has reverted to pre-pandemic testing procedures for licensing examinations. Moving forward,

the resident individual insurance producer and adjuster examinations will be administered in

both districts on a bimonthly (every two month) basis. Examinations will be conducted in both

districts on scheduled dates and times, which will be announced via radio and social media.



Accordingly, unless exempt pursuant to Section 765 of Title 22, Virgin Islands Code, any

individual applying for a resident individual insurance producer license or an adjuster license

must first successfully complete a written examination on the insurance laws of the Territory.



The examination is designed to assess the applicant’s comprehension of the relevant lines of

authority, the professional duties and responsibilities associated with the role of an insurance

producer or adjuster, and the applicable insurance laws and regulations governing the Virgin

Islands.



Individuals interested in taking the resident individual insurance producer or adjuster

examination are advised to contact the following officials for further information:
