WHEREAS, on December 11, 2023, the Government of the Virgin Islands, acting

through the Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Department of Property and Procurement on 
2 
behalf of the Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture, and St. Croix Science Teachers’ 
3 
Association, Inc., entered into a lease agreement for Parcel No. 10-P VICORP Land,  King 
4 
Quarter, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, consisting of 1,194,929.9 U.S. sq. ft. or 27.4318 U.S. acres 
5 
more-or-less, as shown on  O.L.G. Drawing No. A9-155-C022; 
6 
WHEREAS, on August 6, 2024, the Governor of the Virgin Islands approved the lease 
7 
agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands and St. Croix Science Teachers’ 
8 
Association, Inc.;

WHEREAS, the premises is leased for an initial term of 20 years, with an option to 
10 
renew for an additional term of 10 years, at an initial annual rent of $411.48, to be used for 
11 
crop production;

WHEREAS, title 31 Virgin Islands Code, part II, chapter 21, section 205, subsection (c) 
1 
provides that in addition to the Governor's approval of a lease, the Legislature of the Virgin 
2 
Islands must also approve the lease; Now, Therefore, 
3 
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands: 
4 
SECTION 1.  Pursuant to 31 V.I.C. § 205(c), the Legislature of the Virgin Islands 
5 
approves the lease agreement between the Government of the Virgin Islands and St. Croix 
6 
Science Teachers’ Association, Inc., for Parcel No. 10-P VICORP Land, King Quarter, St. 
7 
Croix, Virgin Islands, consisting of 1,194,929.9 U.S. sq. ft. or 27.4318 U.S. acres more-or-less, 
8 
as shown on O.L.G. Drawing No. A9-155-C022, for an initial 20 year period with an option to 
9 
renew for an additional 10 year period, at an initial annual rent of $411.48, for crop production.
