Do Not Work

Go home. Do not return to work for 
at least 24 hr. after symptoms end (72 
hr. during an outbreak investigation)

Report symptoms to person in charge 
• 
Person in charge notifies regulatory 
authority of employee diagnosed 
with Salmonella, Shigella, E. coli, 
Norovirus, or Hepatitis A virus

Practice frequent 
handwashing

Avoid bare-hand contact 
with ready-to-eat foods
