An act amending title 3 Virgin Islands Code, section 715(a) by changing the process through 
which active members of the Government Employees Retirement System become members of

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  Title 3 Virgin Islands Code, section 715 is amended as follows:

(a) 
In subsection (a) by striking the fourth and fifth sentences and inserting the 
3 
following:  “Two active members of the Government Employees Retirement System 
4 
must be elected through a process to be determined and conducted by the System. One 
5 
member must be a resident of the district of St. Croix and the other member must be a 
6 
resident of the district of St. Thomas-St. John.”

(b) 
in subsection (a), paragraph (2) by striking “two members from the Central 
8 
Labor Council and the”.
