PUBLIC HEALTH SURVEY Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease that was fi rst identifi ed in the Virgin Islands after Hurricanes Irma & Maria. It can cause a wide range of symptoms – without treatment, it can lead to serious illness and even death. The Department of Health and CDC will conduct leptospirosis community surveys from March 4 to March 31: St. Croix: March 4-17 St. John: March 18-24 St. Thomas: March 18-31 HELP KEEP YOUR FAMILY AND NEIGHBORS SAFE AND HEALTHY If a survey team visits your house, please consider participating.
