Re: Invitation to CYASP Hearing – Paul E. Joseph Stadium Project
Dear Commissioner Alejandro,
As Chair of the Committee on Culture, Youth, Aging, Sports, and Parks (CYASP), I write to formally invite
your participation in an upcoming hearing scheduled for :HGQHVGD\, June 1, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the 
Fritz E. Lawaetz Legislative Chamber on St. Croix.
You are requested to appear during Block I, beginning at 9:30 AM, which will center on the status and
execution of the Paul E. Joseph Stadium Project. The Department of Property and Procurement (DPP) plays
a pivotal role in managing the contracting, procurement, and oversight processes for this project, and your
insights will be instrumental to the Committee’s review. We respectfully ask that your testimony address
the following key areas:










DPP’s role in contractor selection, contract execution, and project procurement processes.
Current contractual standing with GEC, LLC, and associated project vendors.
Procurement challenges encountered and their resolutions.
Oversight measures in place to ensure fiscal and performance accountability.
Interagency coordination efforts that support timely execution of project phases.
As the Committee seeks to ensure transparency and evaluate whether legislative action is needed to expedite
project completion, your input will be vital. Please submit your written testimony no later than Monday, June
