Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources informs the public that the following St. Thomas Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Committee Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 4:00pm. This meeting will be held via the video conferencing platform Microsoft Teams. The agenda is as follows: Public Hearings (testimony will be heard) Public Hearing for Federal Consistency Determination, CZM0027-24- Swan Annex Correctional Facility. The proposed project consists of demolition of the existing Swan Annex facility and structures on three adjoining lots and building a new correctional facility. The location of the project is Subbase 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109 Southside Quarter (Estate Nisky) St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Public Hearing for Major Coastal Zone Management Permit No. CZT-08-21 (W)- Lime Out 2, LLC. The project proposes to moor a floating take-out restaurant in Lindbergh Bay, St. Thomas, and to install 10 moorings for vessels visiting the restaurant. The floating restaurant will be 53’ in length and 20’ in width and anchored with 4 helix type anchors with floating lines to avoid impact to the seafloor. The floating restaurant has been located to avoid benthic resources and 10 moorings are proposed to minimize anchoring by restaurant patrons. The proposed project site is located in Lindbergh Bay, on the southside of the island of St. Thomas.
