NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC 
TITLE VI-CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964 
As a recipient of federal financial assistance from the FAA and MARAD, the Virgin Islands Port 
Authority, is required to notify the public of the protections against discrimination afforded to them 
by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.  The Virgin Islands Port Authority assures that no person 
shall on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, as provided by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act 
of 1964, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to 
discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.  The Virgin 
Islands Port Authority further assures every effort will be made to ensure non-discrimination in all 
its programs and activities, whether those programs and activities are federally funded or not.  
The Virgin Islands Port Authority is responsible for initiating and monitoring Title VI activities, 
preparing required reports and other responsibilities as required by Title VI.
