In accordance with the provisions of Title 17, Chapter 33 § 455 of the Virgin Islands Code, I hereby

nominate the Honorable Carolyn P. Hermon-Percell as a member representing the island of St. Thomas to

the University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees. She currently serves the people of the Virgin Islands

as Commissioner of the Virgin Islands Casino Control Commission.



Accordingly, it is my pleasure to ask for the advice and consent of the Thirty-Sixth Legislature of

the Virgin Islands on the nomination of the Honorable Carolyn P. Hermon-Percell. A copy of her resume is

enclosed for your review. I respectfully urge the Legislature to take timely action to advance this nomination

to prevent any delays in the official functions of the University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees.
