An Act providing an appropriation from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government 
of the Virgin Islands to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center and to the Roy 
L. Schneider Hospital and Medical Center to address medical staff needs

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  (a) The sum of $2,000,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending 
2 
September 30, 2025 from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin 
3 
Islands to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center to hire seven emergency 
4 
room nurses, two emergency room physicians, and seven emergency room patient care 
5 
technicians.  The sum appropriated remains available until expended.

(b) 
The sum of $2,000,000 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2025 
7 
from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the Virgin Islands to the Roy L. 
8 
Schneider Hospital and Medical Center to hire seven emergency room nurses, two emergency 
9 
room physicians, and seven emergency room patient care technicians.  The sum appropriated 
10 
remains available until expended.

This bill appropriates from the General Fund of the Treasury of the Government of the

Virgin Islands $2,000,000 to the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center and

$2,000,000 to the Schneider Regional Hospital and Medical Center to address medical staff

needs.
