Dear Mr. Murnan:
The Tutu Environmental Investigation Committee (TEIC) is implementing a Remedial
Investigation (RI) that includes an evaluation of the groundwater quality in the Tutu area. This
RI is being conducted according to a work plan approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency (USEPA) and is being coordinated with the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning
and Natural Resources (DPNR).
On behalf of the TEIC, Geraghty & Miller, Inc. is coordinating the sampling activities.
This letter requests that Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) of the Virgin Islands, as property
owner, grant access to Geraghty & Miller on behalf of the TEIC on Thursday, May 26, 1994,
to sample Monitoring Well "KFC Corp.", shown on the attached figure, and on Friday, May
13, 1994, and Monday, May 23, 1994 to measure the water level in this well.
