EMPLOYMENT POLICY OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES



(Approved by the Board of Trustees on March 28, 1965)



It is the policy of the Board of Trustees of the College

of the Virgin Islands, as hereby reaffirmed, that there shall

be no discrimination whatsoever on account of race, color,

religion or national origin in any employment of faculty and

staff of the College. Professional competence and character

shall be the governing criteria.



Moreover, in cases involving more than one applicant

for a faculty opening where the applicants are of equal com-

petence and character, but one is identified with the Virgin

Islands by either birth or long residence, that equality of

competence and character shall be resolved in favor of the



candidate so identified with the Virgin Islands.
