Since it has no tags it should not really be called a HTML document. But my browser doesn't care. Note that I am writing my sentences one to a line. It does not matter as HTML browsers ignore where I press return. I did add a couple of spaces to the end of each line. You will need to add tags to give the text formatting. Note that the tags do not take up any space and that the bold tag needs an ending tag. The italic tag needs an ending tag as well. It is possible to combine many tags for multiple effects. If you forget the ending tag, you will have everthing after the starting tag in bold! That is why we like to use a web browser to see our work.

That "P" tag just told the browser that I want to start a new paragraph. See how I can start new line for each sentance and they are ignored. Also note that the browser and your text editor do not agree on where the lines end on the above paragraph. ---Ex2.HTM My Title in the Window Bar

This document shows off a few more useful tags. It does not begin to show off all the possible tags. There are literally hundreds of them. Note that some tags are nested.

Occasionally you will wish to seperate items with less space. The "BR" tagis good for that. Note that this line.
And this line are closer together than if I had used the "P" tag. The "HR" tag above is good for drawing lines across the screen. Note that my code had three blank lines that were ignored. Occasionally you will wish to have text appear exactly as you typed it. Perhaps for a simple table. The default font size is three. Note that the font size command does not have an end tag. The font will stay the size you set it to till you change it. There are seven font sizes.
