Through this program, students spend approximately three years at the University of the Virgin Islands and two years at a participating institution. At the end of the program, the student earns a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from the University of the Virgin Islands, and a Bachelor of Science in his or her chosen field of engineering from the affiliated university. The University of the Virgin Islands has agreements with Columbia University, University of Florida, and the University of South Florida. The dual degree program offers a great deal of flexibility to students. Students follow a course of studies similar or identical to those taken by many of our science majors, while adding certain required courses. Fields of specialization in engineering include:  Biomedical Engineering  Chemical Engineering  Civil Engineering  Computer Engineering  Electrical Engineering  Environmental Engineering  Industrial Engineering and Operations Research  Materials Science  Mechanical Engineering Interested students should consult with the engineering liaison, Dr. Adam Parr, early in their college career. Goals The Engineering program at UVI provides students with the fundamental science and mathematics courses required to assure that a BS degree can be completed after two years at our partner institutions. Strict course paradigms and a minimum GPA requirement guarantee students the greatest possible chance of success. Contact Information Dr. Adam Parr UVI Engineering Liaison & Assoc.
