It is desired
to
encourage
the
use
of
“office-request’’
siamped
envelopes
by
patrons
as
it is of much
mutual
benefit
to
the
public
and
the
postal
service.
When
purchasers
of
these
envelopes
complete
the card by writing their names
and
local address=s
on the
blank lines, it
provides
prompt
return of undeliverable
letters
to senders,
lessens
the
work
of
the
Division of Dead
Letters,
and
tends
to
encourage
the
use of return-cards
on
other
mail.

who
prefer

to attention
that
the

Department,

the
Municipal
Committee
was
informed
that the
men
are
paid
extra for
furnishing their
own
horses,
and
the
horses
are
fed
by
the
Department.
