Governient
has informed
the Cunard
Company
that
prevailing conditions
in Ireland may
pre-
judice the ordinary safeguards
for
navi-
gation,
and
that
the
Government
con-
siders
it advisable,
as
a temporary
pre-
caution, for passenger
ships from abroad
to proceed
to English ports
without
call-
ing at Queenstown,
and
it
requests
the
Cunard Line to act accordingly.

a busy time
to-
day.

of Irish
Unions
and
Nationalists
from
Dublin
and Cork, who urged
him
to grant
Dominion
Home
Rule
for
Ire-
land.
The deputatiun
was headed
by Sir
Stanley
Harring, Commissioner
of
Edu-
cation for Ireland,
and-included
a
Sum-
ber of prominent
men,
among
the
Pro-
fessor Trench of Trinity College.

the Premiern
were
Mr. Bonar
Law,
Sir
Hamar Greenwood

Ministers,
An official report of the
conference
will
be issued shortly.
The conference
was
a private
one,
but at it occurred
a dis-
cussion
of the entire Irish question.
