Man Arrested for Sexual Assault of a Female Minor 
St. Croix, USVI - On August 24, 2022, a citizen reported to the Ancilmo D. Marshall 
Command Police Station that a female minor was sexually assaulted by an adult male, Mr. 
Dante Edison James. Investigation into the case produced probable cause for a warrant for his 
arrest. 
Members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau in the St. Croix district obtained an arrest 
warrant that was signed on January 20, 2023, by a Magistrate Judge of the Superior Court. 
On January 23, 2023, members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau executed the arrest on 
26-year-old, Dante Edison James. He was placed under arrest, booked, and remanded to the 
John Bell Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights Hearing set for January 25, 
2023, at the Superior Court. Mr. James was charged with Rape in the Second Degree and 
Visual Medium. Bail was set at $75,000.
