Question: Line Item #1- Provide a quantity of damaged Roof Drains  
 
Answer: Potential bidders are to conduct site inspections to determine the 
conditions of the Roof Drains This will provide the bidder with a quantity. 
DOE will validate allowances.     
 
Question: Line Item #8- Please, provide information of manufacturer 
(make and model), to comply with note 14 in Drwg. Sheet A-2. Existing 
freezer door is damaged, please provide instruction of how to proceed 
(Repair or Replace). 
 
Answer: Potential bidders are responsible for selecting products and 
manufactures specifications. These products must be submitted for approval 
by the DOE prior to purchase. Means and methods of construction are the 
sole responsibility of the potential bidder.  
 
Question: Line Item #24- Provide length of the 26 wiring connections 
requested.  Provide a quantity of missing or damaged: Receptacles, 
Switches, Lighting Fixtures, Service Panels, Cover Plates and Junction 
Box Cover to be included. 
 
Answer: Potential bidders are to conduct site inspections to determine the 
conditions and quantities of all the electrical devices with their components 
that are in need of removal and replacement. This will provide the bidder 
with a quantity. DOE will validate allowances.    
 
Question: Line Item #37- Provide a wall area to receive sika Armatec 110 
epoxy paint. (manufacturer specs are for exterior use) 
 
Answer: Potential bidders are to conduct site inspections to determine the 
conditions and quantities of concrete wall repairs. This will provide the 
bidder with a quantity. DOE will validate allowances.   
 
Question: Line Item #46- The 3000 sf includes insulation blow in? 
 
Answer: Yes 
 
Question: Line Item #54- Please, provide louver dimensions and 
quantities. 
 
Answer: Potential bidders are to conduct site inspections to determine the 
sizes and types of louvered windows to be removed and replaced. Potential 
bidders are responsible for selecting products and manufactures 
specifications. These products must be submitted for approval by the DOE 
prior to purchase. Means and methods of construction are the sole 
responsibility of the potential bidder.  
 
Question: Line Item #55- Please, provide louver dimensions and 
quantities. 
 
Answer: Potential bidders are to conduct site inspections to determine the 
sizes and types of louvered windows to be removed and replaced. Potential 
bidders are responsible for selecting products and manufactures 
specifications. These products must be submitted for approval by the DOE 
prior to purchase. Means and methods of construction are the sole 
responsibility of the potential bidder. 
 
Question: Line Item #56- Provide dimensions and quantity for the purlins 
and cantilever beams of walkway.          
 
Answer: Potential bidders are to conduct site inspections to determine the 
sizes and types of purlins to be removed and replaced. Potential bidders are 
responsible for ensuring that the steel members are repaired by a Certified 
Welder. The Certified Welder must be licensed in the U.S.V.I. Means and 
methods of construction are the sole responsibility of the potential bidder. 
 
Question: Is mold remediation is excluded from project scope? 
 
Answer: Yes 
 
Question: Is lead and asbestos removal is excluded from project scope? 
 
Answer: Yes 
 
Question: When school was built (year)? 
 
Answer: 1958 
 
Question: Furniture removal, storage or disposal is excluded? 
 
Answer: No. This task is inclusive. Line 13 clearly states the obligations to 
remove such items. 
 
Question: Clean and sanitize is excluded for all classrooms?
