AND VARLACK VENTURES, INC.’S PETITION FOR RATES INCREASE Nwmee” Nee” Nenee Nuee” Seeee See” ORDER WHEREAS, on May 4, 2012, Transportation Services of St. John, Inc. and Varlack Ventures, Inc., (hereinafter “Ferry Franchisees”) submitted a report prepared by the Ferry Franchisees’ Technical Consultant Malcolm Kirwan, regarding the request and justification for an increase in fares to the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission (hereinafter, “PSC” or the “Commission’”) WHEREAS, on May 8, 2012, the Commission met in Regular Session at the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission’s Conference Room located at 1003 Estate Ross/Barbel Plaza, Suite #4, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, upon review and deliberation of the Ferry Franchisee’s Petition, the Commission voted to establish a docket to begin its investigation and review of the proposed request for an increase in rates; and WHEREAS, the Commission further ordered that a hearing examiner be appointed at the next scheduled meeting; and NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED that the Commission establishes a docket to review the proposed Petition for an increase in rates; and FINALLY, it is ORDERED that a hearing examiner be appointed at the next scheduled PSC meeting.
