promiscuously

ting when he is on the scena?
It is only
natural
that
dogs,
like
the
best of
our-
selves,
will get
to scrapping
at
times.

Mr.
Hansen
butting
in
on
more
than
one
occasion
threatening
to
use
firearms,
besc~aks,
we
know
not
wether bluff or reason.

THE CHILDREN’S HOMES.
Because
of the
return
to
Denmark
by
the
Deaconnesses
in
charge,
the
Chil-
dren’s
Homes
were
temporarily
closed.
Their re-opening
takes
place on Monday.
September
8.
Miss Schoen
is in charge.
For several
years
she
has been
teacher
in
the public
schools
in
the
Middle
West.
For
two
years
she
has been engaged
in kindergar-
ten work
in Po?]to
Rieco.
For
the
past
two months
she
has been in St. Croix pre-
paring the Children’s Homes
for service.
The house
has been thoroly cleansed
and
painted
with-in and without.
Everything
is spic-an-span,
beds,
bedding,
furaish-
ings and all.
A
Deaconness
from
the
Baltimore
Mother
House
has
accepted
the
ecall to
come
to Christiansted.
She
will arrive
as
early
as
possible.
Meanwhile
Mrs.
Rev. G. W. Critchlow
will assist
as also
will Miss Critchlow.
On
Monday
from
10.30
to
12
a.
m.
mothers
may
enroll,
also
from
1.30
te
3. p.
m.
The
Homes
v-ill
.
open
to the publie
for visitation Monday evening
from 7.30
to 9 o’clock.
The
special
opening
ser-
vice will be at 8 p.
m.
A cordial
invitation
is
extended
the
friends of
the
Home
to visit at the time
of this opening.
The
Homes
will try to
becomea Nursery
and
a Kindergarten
besides
being a home
to the children
ad-
mitted.
Becau-e
of the
diversified
ac-
tivities within
the Homes
there will
ne-
cessarily
be limitatio
to the
number
ad-
mitted.
But in aceepting
the trust from
the Queen
Louise
Society
the
United
Lutheran
Church
consents
that
there
will be no limitation as
to
