U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS — Finance Commissioner Kevin McCurdy is serving as Acting Governor while both Governor Albert Bryan Jr. and Lieutenant Governor Tregenza Roach are off-island. Lieutenant Governor Roach has departed the territory to attend the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA) New Elect and Member Meeting in Washington, D.C. Governor Bryan, who is also in Washington, D.C., is scheduled to return to the Virgin Islands on December 8.

During this period, Senator Marise James will serve as Acting Lieutenant Governor.

These temporary appointments are pursuant to the Executive Succession Act under Title 3 of the Virgin Islands Code, ensuring continuity of government leadership during the absence of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor.
