day morning from
the
States
via
Porto
Rico.
While the
members
of
his
congrega-
tion and his many
friends
were
glad
to
greet
him, they did so with heavy hearts
for it was widely
known
that
the. Rev-
erend
gertlemah
had
been
ordered
to
St.
Croix, and,
thus although
he
had
re-
turned
to the Virgin Islands
he
was
not
to labour
among
those
who
had
learned
o appreciate
him through
his simple and
straightforward
manner.
That Reverend
Christensen
is
nnt
to
resume
the
pastorate
of
the
Lutheran
conzregation
is much
to deplore especial-
ly
when
oue
recalls
how
greatly
th>
length of a paster’s
sojourn
strengthens
his
congregation
spritually
and
other-
wise.
It is to
Le
hoped
that
the
governing
body of the church
will
see
fit
to
order
Reverend
Christensen
to
again
take
charge

congregation
