DHS Announces Temporary Closure of STT Vocational Rehabilitation Unit for ADA 
Workshop and Expo 
 
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services (VIDHS) is advising the 
community that the Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Unit in the St. Thomas district will be closed on 
Tuesday, July 9, 2024, from 9:00am to 5:00pm to allow staff to participate in the ADA Expo at the 
University of the Virgin Islands (UVI). 
 
The Department of Human Services is committed to continuous staff development and training to 
better serve our clients and community. This temporary closure will enable our VR staff to gain 
valuable insights and knowledge about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which will enhance 
our services and support for individuals with disabilities. 
 
The Department of Human Services apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this closure. For any
