Media Advisory: DHS Reopens Offices Territory-wide on Monday, June 23 
U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS - The Virgin Islands Department of Human Services (DHS) will reopen all 
offices territory-wide on Monday, June 23. We appreciate the public's patience during our 
precautionary closure. In coordination with the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT), DHS 
temporarily suspended operations for a full system review.  
There was no disruption to essential services, and we took this step out of caution. We will 
continue to work with BIT to monitor and strengthen our systems and look forward to resuming 
full public services. 
The Department of Human Services (VIDHS) exists to provide social services to members in our
