Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  (a) Notwithstanding the use restrictions in 33 V.I.C. §3093, the sum of

$383,784 is appropriated in the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, from the Virgin Islands 
3 
Education Initiative Fund to the Virgin Islands Department of Education to conduct evaluations 
4 
to determine students’ eligibility for extended school year special education services.  The funds 
5 
shall be allocated as follows: 
6 
(1) 
$196,238 to the district of St. Croix; and  
7 
(2) 
$187,546 to the district of St. Thomas/St. John.

(b) 
The sums appropriated in subsection (a) remain available until expended.
