Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin 
Islands Approving the Fundraising and Alumni Giving Rate Goals for 
Fiscal Year 2012 
 
 
WHEREAS, the University of the Virgin Islands has exceeded the fundraising and 
alumni giving rate goals of $1.5M and 13% for fiscal year 2011, and 
 
WHEREAS, the Development Committee of the UVI Board of Trustees has prioritized 
efforts to increase the University’s capacity in securing external, private funding to 
assist in the ongoing programmatic growth of the Institution, and 
 
WHEREAS, the Development Committee has voted to recommend to the Board of 
Trustees to increase the fundraising goal to $2.5M and the alumni giving rate to 16% 
for fiscal year 2012. 
 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE 
UNIVERSITY: 
 
That the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands hereby authorizes and 
approves, the establishment of the fundraising and alumni giving goals for fiscal year 
2012 to the follow amounts: 
Fundraising Goal – $2.5 million 
Alumni Giving Rate – 16%
