An Act approving the conveyance by the Virgin Islands Port Authority to the University of the 
Virgin Islands of Tract E, Parcel 72 Estate Lindbergh Bay, 4A Southside Quarter, St. Thomas, 
Virgin Islands, in exchange for the University of the Virgin Islands’ conveyance to the Virgin 
Islands Port Authority of Parcel 66-5 Estate Lindberg Bay St. Thomas, Virgin Islands

WHEREAS, the Virgin Islands Port Authority (“VIPA”) owns Tract E, Parcel 72 Estate

Lindbergh Bay, 4A Southside Quarter, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, consisting of 0.822 U.S.

Acres of land more-or-less, as more particularly shown on O.L.G. Drawing No. D9-8923-T014 
3 
dated June 05, 2014 (“Parcel 72”); 
4 
WHEREAS, the University of the Virgin Islands (“UVI”) owns Parcel 66-5 Estate 
5 
Lindberg Bay St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, consisting of 0.822 U.S. Acres of land more-or-less, 
6 
(“Parcel 66-5”); and 
7 
WHEREAS, VIPA’s Parcel 72, which parcel is contiguous to the UVI’s Parcel 66-5, has 
8 
a large warehouse building, which was once a grocery store, and is now leased by UVI;   
9 
WHEREAS, UVI’s Parcel 66-5 is an undeveloped field adjacent to UVI’s athletic field 
10 
and is also adjacent to the VIPA’s Airport Area of Operations;   
11 
WHEREAS, the VIPA and UVI have agreed to a land swap of the two pieces of property 
12 
which land swap is more applicable to the intended use of the parcels by both entities; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to 29 V.I.C. § 543(6), the sale or disposal of the VIPA’s real

property is subject to the approval of the Legislature and the Governor; Now, Therefore,

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the Virgin Islands:

SECTION 1.  Pursuant to title 29, chapter 10, subchapter II, section 543(6) of the 
4 
Virgin Islands Code, the Legislature of the Virgin Islands approves the conveyance by the 
5 
Virgin Islands Port Authority to the University of the Virgin Islands of the real property 
6 
described as Tract E, Parcel 72 Estate Lindbergh Bay, 4A Southside Quarter, St. Thomas, 
7 
Virgin Islands, consisting of 0.822 U.S. Acres of land more-or-less, as more particularly shown 
8 
on O.L.G. Drawing No. D9-8923-T014 dated June 05, 2014, in exchange for the University of 
9 
the Virgin Islands’ conveyance to the Virgin Islands Port Authority of the real property 
10 
described as Parcel 66-5 Estate Lindberg Bay St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, consisting of 0.822

U.S. Acres of land more-or-less.
