GOVERNMENT OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION Docket No. 658 Order No. 85/2016 IN RE: APPLICATION OF CAPITAL NETWORKS USVI, LLC FOR AUTHORIZATION TO OPERATE AS A TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROVIDER THE USVI ORDER WHEREAS, on April 26, 2016, Capital Networks USVI, LLC submitted an Application seeking authorization to operate as a telecommunications service provider within the United States Virgin Islands (hereinafter “USVT’) to the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission (hereinafter “PSC” or “Commission”), and WHEREAS, on August 22, 2016, the PSC received a Report from its technical consultants, Georgetown Consulting Group, Inc., and WHEREAS, the Commission heard testimony from its staff and Mobilitie; and WHEREAS, on August 23, 2016, the Commission held a Special Meeting in both its offices on St. Thomas and St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands and via video and teleconference; and WHEREAS, on upon review and deliberation, the Commission voted approve Capital Networks USVI, LLC’s Application for authorization to operate as a telecommunications provider in the USVI, and NOW, THEREFORE, the Commission APPROVES the Petition of Capital Networks USVI, LLC for authorization to operate as a telecommunications provider within the United States Virgin Islands.
