Re: Renomination of Celestino A. White, Sr.—Board of Governors of the Virgin Islands Port

Authority



Dear Mr. President:



In accordance with the provisions of Title 29, Chapter 10 § 541 and Title 3, Chapter 5 § 65a of the

Virgin Islands Code, I hereby renominate Mr. Celestino A. White, Sr. to serve a third term as a member of the

Board of Governors of the Virgin Islands Port Authority and representative of the Island of St. Thomas. I also

request that the Legislature find that Mr. White has given exceptional service as a member of the Board of

Governors of Virgin Islands Port Authority. Throughout his terms, he has served responsibly and cooperatively

to allow the board to carry out its functions. Moreover, his expertise, experience, and dedication to public

service demonstrate that his continued service on the board is an asset.



Accordingly, it is my pleasure to ask for the advice and consent of the Thirty-Sixth Legislature of the

Virgin Islands on the renomination of Mr. Celestino A. White, Sr. His resume and questionnaire are enclosed

for your review. I respectfully urge the Legislature to take timely action to advance this renomination to prevent

any delays in the official functions of the Board of Governors of the Virgin Islands Port Authority.



Your prompt and favorable confirmation will enhance the Board of Governors of the Virgin Islands Port

Authority to meet its demanding operations and the continued work to serve the people of the United States
