The Governor receied
news by wire'ess
yesterday
morning

that
H. M. T. Fannonia with troops for Barba-
dos was

on her
way here and
would
reach Carlisle Bay at 4 o’clock.
The mes-
sage
caused
much
surprise
because
the
boat
was
not
ecxpec:ed
before Saturday
morning,
and
no
preparations
for
the
landing and
recepticn
of
our
men
had
been
made.

Excellency
made
the
contents
of the
message
known
during

to
arrange
for the landing of our men
