The undersigned does hereby certify that the following

is an exact copy of a Resolution of the Board of Trustees of

the University of the Virgin Islands adopted at its meeting

on June 21, 1987, as recorded in the Minutes of said

meeting:



RESOLUTION TO THANK VIRGIN ISLANDS RUM INDUSTRIES, LTD.

FOR THE GIFT OF SCHOLARSHIP AID



WHEREAS, Virgin Islands Rum Industries, Ltd. has

developed an interest in the University of the Virgin

Islands, and



WHEREAS, the Corporation has decided to award to the

University for use for financial aid the sum of $125,000.00

over a five-year period beginning in 1987, and



WHEREAS, the first $25,000.00 has been received by the

University,



NOW THEREFORE be it resolved that the Board of Trustees

of the University of the Virgin Islands on its own behalf

and on the behalf of the students, faculty and staff, as

well as on the behalf of the community, through this medium,

expresses its appreciation and thanks to Virgin Islands Rum

Industries, Ltd. and to its parent, Schenley Industries,

inc.
