 USVI Pesticide Applicator Recertification Workshop 
 
 
The University of the Virgin Islands Cooperative Extension Service’s Pesticide Safety 
Education Program announces the re-scheduling of the Pesticide Applicator Recertification Workshop 
on St. Croix for Tuesday, September 29, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Research and 
Extension Center, Room 133. 
 
The workshop will be conducted by Dr. Hipólito O'Farrill-Nieves, Extension Entomologist, 
Agricultural Extension Service, College of Agricultural Sciences, University of Puerto Rico. 
All pesticide applicators, especially certified applicators, are encouraged to attend this important 
workshop. The topics will include “Pesticide Use Calculations,”  “Safe Use Practices for Pesticides,” 
and “Managing Pesticide Resistance.”
