(“AIR”) being sent for review and approval. The purpose of this amendment is to extend the contract’s term by seven (7) months to allow for the completion of services that were disrupted as result of travel restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus (“Covid- 19”) pandemic. The Contractor will continue to provide support and professional development training to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics educators and administrators on the implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (“NGSS”) in the territory’s public schools. This amendment will allow the Department, through its state office of Curriculum & Instruction, to continue to increase the Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (“STEAM”) knowledge base for its students and develop their ability to innovate in STEAM areas. The VIDE’s STEAM program is curriculum based on the idea of educating students in specific disciplines; the NGSS aims to improve the way students learn and apply science skills. In strengthening students’ understanding of, and interest in STEAM fields. By combining these content areas, VIDE will in turn increase its capacity to meet, promote, lead, and educate future generations of the 21st Century learners by providing support to its teachers and administrators throughout the territory. The amendment will extend the Contract term through June 30, 2021. Therefore, there shall be no changes to the Contract compensation.
