GOVERNMENT OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES PUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION IN RE: ) Docket No. 589 ) Order No. 10/2018 CHOICE COMMUNICATIONS, LLC.’S ) PETITION FOR RECERTIFICATION OF ) THE UNIVERSAL SERVICE FUND ) ) ORDER WHEREAS, on August 18, 2017, Choice Communications, LLC. (hereinafter “Choice”’) filed a request with the Virgin Islands Public Services Commission (hereinafter, “PSC” or “Commission”) for recertification of its designation as an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (hereinafter, “ETC”) and recipient of Universal Service Fund (hereinafter, “USF”) support; and WHEREAS, on September 11, 2017, the Commission received a report and analysis from its technical consultants, Georgetown Consulting Group, Inc. recommending the approval of Choice’s ETC and USF recertification; and WHEREAS, on October 24, 2017, the Commission met in regular session at the Port Authority Conference Room located at the Henry Rohlsen Airport St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands; and WHEREAS, upon review and deliberation the Commission voted to adopt the Technical Consultants’ report and recommendations and recertify Choice’s ETC Designation and USF in the United States Virgin Islands; and NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED that the Technical Consultants’ report be adopted and Choice’s ETC Designation and USF be recertified in the United States Virgin Islands.
