Block I of the Committee hearing scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Earle B. Ottley 
Legislative Hall on St. Thomas. 
The Committee respectfully requests testimony regarding the services and care provided to seniors and elderly 
residents throughout the Territory, including challenges, operational needs, staffing, and efforts to maintain 
quality care and support services. 
Please be prepared to address: 
• Current senior care and support services provided by Lutheran Social Services.
• Challenges affecting elderly care services and operations.
• Staffing, funding, and infrastructure needs.
• Recommendations to strengthen services and protections for seniors in the Virgin Islands.
Please confirm your attendance and submit written testimony at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the 
hearing.
