Title 27 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 17, section 458 is amended by adding 2 subsection (g): 3 “(g) Prior to January 31 of each year, every licensee under this chapter, as a condition 4 for renewal of a license, shall complete a minimum of six hours of board-approved continuing 5 education with at least one hour of coursework relating to sanitation of tools and equipment.” 6 BILL SUMMARY 7 This bill amends title 27 Virgin Islands Code, chapter 17, section 458(g) by requiring that 8 a person holding a license as a cosmetologist, barber, esthetician, nail technician, natural hair 9 stylist, or apprentice, complete a minimum of six hours of Board-approved continuing 10 2 education with at least one hour of coursework relating to sanitation of tools and equipment 1 prior to January 31 of each year. 2 BR25-0486/March 3, 2025/GC 3
