UNIVERSITY OF THE VIRGIN ISLANDS

BOARD OF TRUSTEES RESOLUTION



PURPOSE: To approve the granting of Professor Emeritus Status to Dr. Harold Lutchman

who resigned from his position as Professor of Political Science, St. Thomas



Campus.



WHEREAS, at its meeting on June 18, 1981, the Board of Trustees of the University of the

Virgin Islands approved a policy for the conferring of emeritus status on former faculty members of

the University of the Virgin Islands, and



WHEREAS, Dr. Harold Lutchman resigned from full-time active teaching at the University

of the Virgin Islands effective Fall 1996, after serving as Professor of Political Science for ten years

in a meritorious manner, and



NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:

The Board of Trustees approves the granting of Professor Emeritus Status to Dr.



Harold Lutchman who resigned from his position as Professor of Political Science on the St.

Thomas Campus.



CERTIFICATION



The undersigned does hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and exact copy of the resolution of

the Board of Trustees of the University of the Virgin Islands adopted at its meeting on October 14,

2000 and recorded in the minutes of said meeting.
