Man Identified as a Shooter in a Market Square  
Shooting Incident was Arrested 
St. Thomas, USVI - On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at approximately 1:46 p.m., officers were 
dispatched to the area of Mushen’s Market in Market Square concerning shots fired. Upon 
their arrival contact was made with individuals in the area who explained that they saw the 
suspects fleeing the area. Contact was also made with the victim that the shots were 
discharged at.  
On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, 28-year-old Jeffery Figueroa Berroa was placed under arrest 
after he was identified as one of the shooters in the shooting incident that took place on July 
11, 2023, in the Market Square area of Mushen’s Market. He was charged with Attempted 
Murder, Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, and Reckless 
Endangerment. His bail was set at $100,000.00. 
This case is currently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with
