19-year-old Fugitive Arrested on St. Thomas for Crimes in Florida 
St. Thomas, USVI - On or about Thursday, March 23, 2023, detectives from the Criminal 
Investigation Bureau received information that an active Warrant of Arrest was written for 
Masai K. Ubiles, for the charges of Sexual Battery and False Imprisonment, violations of the 
Florida Penal Code. A fugitive investigation was opened where information revealed that 
Ubiles was in the territory, on the island of St. Thomas. 
On Monday, March 27, 2023, information was obtained that Ubiles was operating a white 
Toyota Camry. The vehicle that Ubiles was operating was observed in the area of the 
University of the Virgin Islands Field House. With the assistance of deputies of the US 
Marshal Service, Mr. Ubiles was apprehended without incident. 
Mr. Masai K. Ubiles, 19-years-old, was arrested, booked, and processed. Mr. Ubiles is facing 
charges of Fugitive from Justice, Sexual Battery and False Imprisonment. No bail was set in 
this matter. He was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his court appearance.
