During the executive session, we discussed the removal of a trustee and also a couple of questions related to the fiscal
year 2026 budget and the legal report as well. So we're at the point now where the next item up would be a vote on the
board to accept to adapt the fiscal year 2026 budgets for GR as a board of trustees and we've been as recommended or to
do some of the the budget so can i have a motion give me a second can i have a motion to approve the fiscal year budget
for the grs and board of trustees it's all moved moved by trustee dorsey is there a second second second seconded by

so i wanted to have abortion done to make the same adjustment to the policy for the game for the grs so that the entire
organization would have one consistent policy across the board act as it has always been in

was not on when we started uh this meeting and she had another uh eight months because that she was attending on
behalf of gers but i would like to take this opportunity to officially introduce attorney chapman uh but today to the board
there she is in our upper left hand corner uh attorney chapman uh welcome aboard it's great to have you and you can
please uh introduce yourself to the board of trustees okay good morning board my name is Suleyma Chapman I have
been working for the office of collective bargaining for I believe eight years and I am gracious and thankful for
administrator Dawson and the executive team for hiring me for this position and I'm excited to be
on board it's great to have you and uh attorney chapman will be based in our st croix office of course with uh territorial
responsibilities under uh our general council ishmael myers so um attorney chapman welcome aboard and the best of
luck to you thank you thank you we are happy to have you in our legal department we have a lot of work to do and we
really uh will value your assistance in helping attorney myers moving agency forward thank you thank you you. Mr.
Chapman, I'm happy to have you on board. Are you from St. Croix? Yes, I am from St. Croix. Oh, okay. So you're a

between the ceo and um miss clendenning gums when it comes to employees of the system and you're determining who
would go on what type of training does that rotate within those sections or is it the same people all the time the different
trainings on island off island uh trustee dorsey uh training is available to the entire organization beginning with the
employee and their manager and the human resources division

okay and when they attend their training or filing two different conferences is that determined by the immediate
supervisor is there a recommendation made up the chain or is it just uh a system you have in place outside of that uh well
we have we're members of various organizations and we seek to find the appropriate training opportunities for our
employees uh utilizing primarily those organizations yeah when it comes to the selection of employees to be part of those
trainings uh ceo how does that how is that determined is there a formula you use is there a a system you use the way you
do evaluations on who's been very productive and who hasn't to earn the right to be part of the training or is it just
something else you have in place because you said you did a reorganization I know you put it in there but I didn't see any
real detail the trustee norsey les draws a distinction between training and conferences uh conferences do sometimes have
training opportunities embedded but they're certainly not the only training tool that we have available uh sometimes
training needs to be more narrowly focused and specialized and we are seeking to move more towards a model of of
tailored training as opposed to general conferences okay sounds good thank you you're most welcome and i'm a motion
