ALL ATTENDEES are encouraged to participate in the Caribbean Honey Show. Entry is free with a paid registration. This honey show is the largest in the region and winners can proudly claim the title of “Best Honey in the Caribbean”! Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to showcase all of your (and your bees’!) hard work. The show will be judged using the Welsh Honey Judge methods by certified Welsh Honey Judges and Stewards. Winners will be announced during the Cultural Evening on Wednesday. Despite the name, the Honey Show isn't just for honey! You can submit honey products, art/photography, and more. There are prizes for each exhibit class; a Supreme Winner, a Sweepstakes Winner, and A ‘Best of Show’ awarded. It is important that you read and understand all of the general rules and regulations. General Rules 1, All honey and wax exhibited must be the bona fide produce of the exhibitors own bees. 2. All wax must be 100% pure beeswax, of uniform color and consistency, with no colorings added. 3. All exhibits to be entered before noon on Wednesday and no late entries will be accepted. Judging commences at 1pm Wednesday. 4, Staging of exhibits will be carried out exclusively by show stewards. Exhibitors are not allowed in the judging area until after the results are announced. 5. Identification labels - exhibitors must label every item with the identification labels supplied. These labels must not be altered and are to be fixed to honey jars approximately % inch centered above the bottom of the jar or mead bottle. Other classes have I.D. label affixation guidelines wherever noted. 8. In classes where there are duplicate or triplicate entries, all entries must be identical in all aspects. 9. Exhibitors may have more than one entry in a class, but no single entry may be shown in more than one class. An exhibitor shall not be entitled to more than one placed award per class, 10. Judges and stewards are permitted to exhibit, however, they are not allowed to preside over classes they have entered. 11. To retrieve their entries, exhibitors must sign out each item with the show secretary. ae 12. The Honey Show Comittee is empowered to: a. Increase the number of prizes and/or awards in any class, should the number and high standards of merit, warrant his doing. b. Withhold prizes in case of insufficient entries. c. Submit any exhibit for analysis. d. Retain all or any part of any exhibit, concerning which a protest has been made, until a decision upon such protest has been finalized. e.
