21-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Assault and Child Abuse DV     
 
St. Croix USVI- On Friday, November 18, 2022, members of the Criminal Investigation 
Bureau executed an arrest warrant at 9:20a.m., on Ms. Antenasia Marrero outside her place of 
employment without any incident. Ms. Marrero was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant 
signed by Superior Court Judge Ernest E. Morris Jr., on November 10, 2022. This arrest 
refers to an incident on December 11, 2020, in which Ms. Marrero assaulted a minor child, 
causing visible injuries to the child’s neck. Ms. Marrero, was charged with Assault 2nd DV, 
Child Abuse, and Simple Assault & Battery, DV,   
Ms. Marrero, 21-years-old, was transported to Police Operations at #45 Mar Hill Frederiksted 
where she was Mirandized and declined to give a statement. Ms. Marrero was processed, 
unable to post $50,000 bail. She was remanded to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional 
Facility pending her Advice of Rights Hearing scheduled for Monday, November 21, 2022, at 
9:00 am, at the Superior Court.
