All awnings must receive approval from the Historic Preservation Commision prior to fabrication and or installation. 2. All awnings shall meet the following crieteria; A. All awnings must coriform to the size, shape and configuration of the opening to which they are affixed. -B. All awnings must be able to fold into their opening or be removed when the store is closed. C. All awnings must have 8'0" clear from the bottom of the awning to the top of the sidewalk or pedestrian walkway. D. Awnings shall be permitted only on operable ingress and egress entry ways. E. Awnings are not permitted on second floor apertures or under balconies or other significant overhangs. F No lettering, logos , advertising or other written information maybe affixed to an awning. G. Awnings must be one solid color with no diference of color or texture between sections and or piping at the seams. H. No awning may project more than 3'-0" from the building face or beyond any curb line which ever is the smallest dimension. 3. Awning permits require that an applicant file for approval and pay a permit fee of $ at the Department of Planning and Natural Resources. E Government of the Virgin Islands of the United States
